BookBeat needed to optimize their operational efficiency to support their plans to drive more advanced personalization across new messaging channels.
To simplify things for their team, which was already familiar with Anthropic’s Claude AI tool, BookBeat took advantage of the Braze platform’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to allow marketers to access Braze campaign and Canvas data within Claude.
BookBeat’s Growth Marketers were able to seamlessly pull cross-market performance data, create on-brand interactive dashboards, and ship final reports from within Claude while cutting the time needed for the process by more than 99%.
Decrease in time required to create performance reports, from two days to 20 minutes
Decrease in time required to QA campaigns, from one hour to five minutes
BookBeat is one of Europe's leading streaming services for audiobooks and e-books, giving their 1.2+ million paying users across 10+ different markets instant access to over 1 million books, making it easier to discover and enjoy audiobooks and e-books anytime, anywhere. As the company worked to find ways to better serve those customers, they determined that there was a need to deepen their personalization motion and expand relevant experiences across more messaging channels—while also streamlining the process of assessing and optimizing those campaigns and journeys.
For a habit-driven service like BookBeat, customer engagement is important in driving user retention and business health. During peak seasons, BookBeat runs high-volume, complex campaigns across multiple markets simultaneously.
The BookBeat growth marketing team spent hours (and often days) consolidating campaign metrics into Excel to build charts and presentations that compared performance across campaigns in different markets. Additionally, the team has to spend hours to QA every message variable, footer, campaign code, and market language across multi-channel journeys, which created an operational bottleneck during their busiest commercial windows. That’s where the Braze MCP server comes in.
BookBeat planned to expand into advanced, personalized marketing across new channels. To support that goal, they needed to optimize operational efficiency. The team began testing the Braze Model Context Protocol (MCP) server via Claude to access Braze campaign and Canvas data in an AI tool the team was already familiar with.
Automated cross-market performance dashboard
Summer is one of BookBeat’s peak seasons, with the team managing a high volume of campaigns and initiatives running in parallel, and an important period to evaluate with charts and decks for performance reviews.

By leveraging the MCP server, BookBeat was able to query data through campaign API identifiers, allowing marketers to pull cross-market performance data, create interactive dashboards, formatted to BookBeat's brand guidelines, and ship final reports while cutting the previous two-day process to only 20 minutes. The team stayed the same size, moved faster, and was able to bring valuable hours to campaign ideation and testing during BookBeat's busiest commercial window.
“The Braze MCP turned what used to be days of manual reporting and QA into minutes, freeing our team to spend less time wrangling data and more time on the creative work that actually grows our business.”
Deliverability monitoring and automated QA
Once cross-market campaign reporting was set up, the team expanded their efforts into weekly deliverability monitoring and pre-send campaign QA. Each week, the team is now able to get a quick read on email bounce rates, spam reports, and actionable summaries in Slack, giving them key insights early enough to protect their IP and domain reputation. And when a campaign lead drops a finished Canvas link into Slack, they get back a list of what needs attention before anyone hits launch: Dynamic variables that won't render, mismatched campaign codes, wrong footers, subject lines still in the wrong market's language.
By leveraging the Braze MCP server through Claude, the team was able to transform a process that had once taken an hour per campaign, streamlining the time required to as little as five minutes. That initiative has taken a significant amount of manual, repetitive work off the team's plate without sacrificing quality, supporting strong outcomes for the brand.
“We run a high volume of campaigns and initiatives every week, each needing to be checked before it goes out. Automating that QA process with the Braze MCP Server saves us time and it also helps catch mistakes that a human eye might miss during a busy week.”
By connecting the Braze MCP server through Claude, BookBeat streamlined its internal operating model, supporting faster and more effective execution throughout their customer engagement activities. Those efficiencies include:
Reporting tasks that used to consume days during peak season now take minutes. Automated QA catches the granular details a tired eye can miss during high-volume send periods, protecting sender reputation and the customer experience before a campaign ever goes live. And with the repetitive administrative work off their plate, the team reinvests those hours into the creative strategy and revenue-driving work that actually needs a human touch.
Whether that's cross-market data extraction or pre-send QA, improving things there will be the fastest way to prove the ROI of workflow automation.
Piping campaign analytics and QA alerts straight into Slack means risks get flagged the moment they happen before they turn into bigger problems.
When CRM and lifecycle teams aren't buried in admin work, that time can go into the campaign ideation and testing that actually drives revenue impact.
